This year's opening ceremony will take place on the Seine River instead of a stadium. Athletes will arrive by boat, cruising past historic Paris landmarks such as the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral and the Louvre. Performers rumored to appear include Lady Gaga and Céline Dion.
